Financial Audit Committee

As the name suggests, the Financial Audit Committee (FAC) checks the finances of A.S.V.Gay. The Financial Audit committee serves the general assembly in the first place and not the board of the association. Members of the FAC are therefore appointed by the general assembly and generally serve for 2-3 years in the committee. This ensure that the FAC retains an multi-year overview of the association’s finances, making sure the budgetary wheel does not have to rediscovered every year. With this knowledge we give advice about the yearly budget realisations, of rexample. The FAC meets with the treasurer every few months to check together whether the revenue and expenses have entered into the administration correctly and whether the expenses themselves make sense. Through these means, the AC ensures the financial well-being of the association.

I am Abigail, 23 years old, and since February 2017 I have been strengthening the FAC as an external committee member. That means that I am not (or have been) a member of A.S.V.Gay. I have gained financial experience as a treasurer of the ASVA student union and am also queer myself so I am happy to be able use my knowledge for this association.

My name is Gokie and I am part of the AC since September 2017. In 2015/2016 I was the treasurer on the board of A.S.V.Gay, so I am well acquainted with the accounting system and how the association financially works. I am committed to the association with a lot of love and I enjoy being able to get a look behind the screens again with the AC.

My name is Laurens and I have been a member of A.S.V.Gay since September 2018 and a member of the AC since February 2019. Before this I was a member of the FAC of the University College Student Association and I have a recognized accounting diploma.
